My passion for travel stems from a lifetime of service, education, international experience, and a genuine appreciation for history and culture.

As a retired U.S. Navy veteran with more than 20 years of honorable service, I had the opportunity to live and travel throughout the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. My military career strengthened my leadership, discipline, and attention to detail while allowing me to experience different cultures and perspectives firsthand. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach travel today.

My academic background combines East Asian Studies and Tourism & Hospitality. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies with a concentration in Japanese Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism with a minor in World Culture. Together, these areas of study have given me a strong foundation in destination knowledge, cultural understanding, travel planning, hospitality, and the importance of meaningful connections between travelers and the places they visit.

My connection to Japan goes beyond academic study. I was fortunate to call Japan home for more than 10 years, giving me firsthand insight into its culture, traditions, transportation, regional travel, and everyday life. This experience shaped my specialty in Japan and my broader interest in East Asia.

My appreciation for history began even earlier. I grew up in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a community deeply connected to American history and heritage. Being surrounded by historic sites and meeting visitors from around the world helped spark my interest in storytelling, preservation, and travel that connects people with the places they visit.

Today, as a Certified Travel Associate (CTA) and Certified Cruise Counselor (CCC), I combine my education, military background, international experience, and professional travel training to create meaningful journeys for my clients. My specialty is East Asia—particularly China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea—with a focus on cultural heritage, history, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and immersive experiences.
